My relationship with my dad is the basis of my life.

Seeing what he goes through on a daily basis just to make sure that my mom is still happy - still eating, still living the life that she wants. That's the same thing I want for my family.

The sacrifices my dad made...

My dad was an excellent basketball player... he even had a chance at the NBA. I asked my dad, "What happened?" He told me about the sacrifices that he made to bring money to the family. It was either go to college... or go to the military to have some hard earned cash so you can help support your family. It was one of the hardest decisions he has ever made... but he doesn't regret it one bit.

The values I want to instill in my kids are hard work, dedication, responsibility, professionalism, and treating people how you want to be treated...

...the best advice my dad gave me... make sure you're always there for your kids... and you always listen to them

If you’re on the road and your daughter is sick, you still call her that morning... let her know you’re thinking about her. Or you’re on the road and your son is having a basketball game... let him know you are checking on him. That means a lot to them.
